A Review: A Fairytale For Christmas by Chrissie Manby.

This time of year is perfect to snuggle up with a good, cosy book. Whilst I'm not big on festive books, I love anything that will give me that "feel good" vibe.

If you are looking for a "The Holiday" type of book, A Fairytale for Christmas is for you!

“Christmas is here and the annual show is being rehearsed by the NEWTS. Kirsty has been cast as Cinderella and her Christmas wish is to get a more permanent place in her her director boyfriend Jon's life. On the other side is Ben, struggling with losing his wife and raising his daughter. The show brings everyone together but how many dreams will come and how Fairytales will end?”

A pantomime is the PERFECT subject to read about during Christmas and I loved the background stories! Ben was my favourite character. I felt for him, i was rooting for him, especially when reading about how hard he was finding it to raise his daughter.

For the longest time, I wondered how Ben and Kirsty's storylines would merge together. I loved how it happened. It's a predictable book, you know what is going to happen but it is still a joy to read!! It's super festive, with Christmas songs, decorating trees and wrapping presents.

The writing is magical, its funny and hard hitting at the same time. Short chapters, likeable characters, this is one to read during the festive season!
