Today will be a bit of a fun post with hints of sarcasm and weirdness. I was inspired by my friends and my partner. This blog is talking about types of readers, and going into what type of reader I am. It's mainly all fun stereotypes.

The Non-reader I base this one on my partner, who only reads when it's a rule book. He loves tabletop gaming but will he read any other book? Nope. The non-reader would rather watch the movie that's based on the book rather than read the book.
The E- bookers These people would hold their Kindle rather than a thick paper book as it takes up too much space. You'll find them post photos on the beach or in a coffee shop. Their kindle is their whole being and will sometimes put down people who have books. They may only use technology to read their books. The Note Taker Now this person has tabs for days. Their books have keys to understand the madness of the tabs, but only the note taker will truly understand the method to their madness. These people like to take what they've learnt from the book and annotate all the bits they found interesting. You may also find bits have been highlighted with fun colours as this adds to the joy. The Night Owl These people start to read a book in the evening, maybe before going to sleep. They say, 'I'll only read a chapter or two' then BAM, it’s 3am and they've nearly finished the book. You'll find they have lamps and books stacked on their bed side. They might also have snackage in the bed to accompany their night of reading.

The Reflective Reader Has to be comfortable to read. They are the total opposite of the non-reader as they prefer to read the book before watching the movie adaptation. They will most likely read while drinking tea and eating a slice of cake. The Re-reader As readers, we all love our comfort zones, but the re-reader takes it to the extreme. The idea of trying a new book is not on their minds. Once they find that book or series they like it will take an age for them to move on. The re-reader has one simple request: let them read the same book over and over again. The type of reader I am Personally I'm a chaotic mess of a reader as I don't really mind what genre; hard back or paper; digital or not. My shelves are so filled to the brim with books that I'm now making book stacks and trying (and failing) to convince my partner that it's a design choice. Sometimes I will scroll through Instagram and get bored, but I do like the colours of the different posts. I'm very impulsive when it comes to book buying and if I see a book I may like I'll get it. If you resonate with any of these stereotypes or are any other type of reader please comment. We love getting to know other readers. Ella @mikasibyl
